Research Interests

I am interested in the stirring and mixing of conservative and non-conservative tracers in the ocean. I am also interested in mathematical models for biological problems and the relationship between continuous models for populations and the discrete individuals they represent.

Education

2007 PhD in oceanography, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of California at San Diego
2005 Advanced to candidacy in physical oceanography at SIO
2002 Enrolled in the PhD program at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of California at San Diego
2001-2002 Studied biology at the University of New Hampshire
2001 BA in Math and Physics, Brandeis University
