TIDE POOL FIELD TRIP DATA: 9 February 2013
- Meteorological data (courtesty of Felipe Mejia and Jan Kleissl). Excel spreadsheet. [Column 1 should be Greenwich Mean Time (8 hours later than San Diego time; is this correct?; Column 2 is a record count; column 3 is battery voltage and can be ignored; column 4 is net radiation in W m-2; column 5 is air temperature in degrees Celsius; column 6 is incoming shortwave solar radiation (which might help serve as a measure of
photosynthetically available radiation) in W m-2.]
- Logs from field site (temperature, latitude, longitude, narrative
observations of tide pools) as a spreadsheet.
- Bottle samples for TA and DIC are in the version of the spreadsheet posted to ted.
- Meteorological data from campus weather stations and radiometers maintained by Kleissl group. See http://solar.ucsd.edu/demroes/. This site includes temperature, humidity, solar radiation, rain, and wind at a number of sites around campus. Unfortunately, the closest site to the tide pools (Hubbs Hall) was not working for part of our sampling period. Here are data for Hubbs Hall at SIO, Biomedical Science Building, MWFM, EBU2 (near Canyonview Pool)
- Oceanographic and meteorological data are also available from the Scripps Pier: February 9, 2013 and February 10, 2013. Note that data files are in GMT (8 hours later than San Diego in winter).
