The Stratus Project, lead by the Upper Ocean Processes (UOP) group at WHOI, is part of the Eastern Pacific Investigation of Climate (EPIC) program. The goal of EPIC is to understand the air-sea interaction dynamics in the ITCZ region. The stratus mooring is located at 20°S, 85°W under the Pacific Stratus cloud deck. The mooring has been maintained since the year 2000. The goal of the cruise was to recover and deploy a new mooring as part of a yearly maintenance schedule. These are some photos taken on board the R/V Ronald Brown.
